Harris Cup 2006

The 2^nd Annual Harris Cup Qualifying Tournament was held at Golf Shores Fun Center in Corydon on Sunday morning, August 20^th. Local businesses sponsored holes and donated prizes for the participants of this fun miniature golf competition. More than $1,480 was raised at this event and given to the Metro United Way. The first place winner was Matt Keys with a score of 39, second place winner was Ty Dudley with a score of 39, and the third place winner was Joe Merk with a score of 40. The above photo shows Ty and Joe looking on while Matt makes his putt to win the playoff. Both the first and second place winners are qualified to compete in the national Harris Cup Tournament to be held on September 24^th near Allentown, PA. Matt Keys also won the first place prize money of $500 to help pay his travel expenses to the Harris Cup Tournament. All participants received door prizes, free food and free soft drinks.
